From London to Makkah

 From the Malfoozat of Shaikhul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhalvi (nawarallahu marqadahu) on Wednesday the 17th Ramadhanul Mubarak 1390:

“It stayed Hadhratwala [Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhalvi]‘s routine, that at the majlis (gathering) of the day that Hadhrat Maulana Inaamul Hassan Sahab [Rahimullah] arrives through Hadhrat’s allusion the kaargusary (report)of any significant Jama’at would get told. So at today’s majlis Maulana Muhammad Umar Sahab Palanpuri [Rahimullah] read out the kaargusary of a Jama’at that walked from London to Makkah Mukarramah on foot.”

You all are divinely favoured by the majlis of Hadhratwala. Hearts are in the hands of Allah, Him only puts love in the hearts - puts Deen in the hearts. Allah Ta’ala says,

“That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew!” [61:11]

Jama’atsgo out, in these some go by making debts, some go out with big struggles, through this Allah Ta’ala puts Deen in the hearts.
(Kaargusary) This is the first Jama’at that walked from London to Makkah Mukarramah on foot. I will read out a letter from this [journey] to you. (After reading this letter) no companion of this Jama’at can say, that we did it. Because all the circumstances are telling, that Allah Ta’ala through His power does.
Once Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Sahab was asked by someone, that why do you put people into pain, the poor farmers? Why do you detach the dealers from their business? Will batil come to an end through their efforts, when batil couldn’t be crushed by the sacrifices and attempts of big big Ahlullah?
His (Rahimullah) kind was of that type, that he wouldn’t let changes come into the Ikram of his elders. He said, “Their status was the same as of the lion and the example of our Jama’ats is exactly like that of termites, that a big girder looks huge from outside but inside it’s hollow, weak. Like the termites these small small Jama’ats will hollow the big big gardirs of batil from the very inside and the batil will become weak and soulless.”
Now to the Jama’at that left from London, the Jama’at left in a very cold and rainy weather. Fifteen years ago from today one could not see any Masjid in London, today two-hundred Masajid are present. Maybe in the whole of London existed only one Masjid in which on Jumu’ah a few brother prayed. Today in 200 Masajid five times a day prayers are offered in congregation.
A fellow from South America embarked in London and with him embarked an Englishman for South America, who almost after twenty years again was visiting his kinsfolk in his home-county England. And he was asked by the fellow from South Africa, “You came back to your home-country after 20 years, in these twenty years what changes have you seen in England?” “The impression that four strange topi-wearing and Urdu-speaking individuals left, that every place you can see their effects. It seems like whole England will be suffused with them.”
It came already in Belgium newspapers, television and so on about the Jama’aton foot. Although our elders dislike this, also there shouldn’t be publicity. And from the very inside the work takes place. That’s what they like and emphasis on.
One newspaper wrote, there are some people who follow Islam. These people are trying that Islam spreads in whole Europe – for this they’re making effort.

In Bombay an Englishman asked in a restaurant for the best food available to be brought. He was told, that would be Biryani, and it was brought to him. He asked, which people would eat this. Then he was told, that this was the food of Muslims. Now, just this made him accept Islam. That the people whose standard of food is so delicious, no doubt how exalted must be their religion then. Now, explain who did Tabligh on him. Actually when winds of guidance are blowing because of sacrifices for guidance are being made, then people get Iman just like that.
An Englishman once asked, if Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)ever crossed oceans on a journey. After finding out from scholars and when he was told, that “No, in the Hadith it cannot be found that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)ever travelled over the oceans.”, the Englishman said, “Then make me Muslim.” He was asked why and he said, that the picture drawn of the oceans in the books, that have been brought forward, cannot even be brought forward by a traveller over the oceans himself; no doubt these are the words revealed by the Lord. And then he became Muslim. When Allah Ta’ala wants to give guidance, he gives it like that. Which conveying one can claim to have doneTabligh on him. A German newspaper published a fresh-new story, that almost around 20 to 25 dead bodies have been buried. Out of curiosity to find out how punishment in the grave is like the christians put out of the dead bodies some standing, some upside-down, some here, some there, well in many different ways. Then after three days when they opened the grave, they saw every single dead bodies’ eyes were open and exploded, (since this is related to the unseen) it wasn’t necessary that the punishment in the graved caused their outer appearance to change. But Allah Ta’ala showed in the exterior, everyones bones were crumbled, eyes were broad-eyed in fear. That’s why it makes on think they must have witnessed a terrible scenario. The newspaper wrote, that the things that are being said in Islam about the punishment in the grave turned out to be reality after this incident.
Hadhrat Maulana Yusuf (Rahimullah) promised to go to Africa. Brothers from the African Sambia came, people came to Hadhrat Shaykh, Hadhrat Maulana Inaamul Hassan was present, too. To fulfill this promise we were sent there. When we went there a priest came to us and said, “When someone becomes christian we fix some monthly [money]for him, if he’s an aesthete we arrange beautiful girls, if he’s an official we arrange something according to him for his work and a salary. But since you arrived more are becoming Muslim and who became a Muslim once never turns to Christianity again. We’re spending so much, but you in the opposite, wherever one becomes Muslim you say go in Jama’at- oppositely you make them spend.” We told this priest, “With the ways Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) came with are unseen strength and the previous heavenly books: their soul has been pulled out, they have been cancelled. Someone dead needs for shoulders to be carried on, a living one doesn’t need these to walk, the shoulder of money, the shoulder of position, the shoulder of woman, the shoulder of bombing. Only this is the reason why you’ve to spend so much for Christianity and we to make living ones move don’t depend on any perishable things.” He said, “Molvi Sahib, you are saying Qur’an is right, jews are saying Thorat is right and about the Bible we are saying that it’s right. At the end which of these books is correct and which is not?” We replied, “Taking them we stand up, you take the Bible, the Jews take the Thorat and we take the Qur’an.” After this he left silently.
At one place two of the Jama’at have been caught [by the police]. They had a vial of tooth-powder and people thought it’s some intoxicant medicine. After confirming they let them free. They joined their Jama’at again and resumed the journey. But later some Arab brothers came to find out what happened to the two later on. When they arrived, they had seen the places where our comrades already spent time. The whole office, which included women as well, arrived there and said, what pure people these were, they seemed to be real Muslims. There faces were not frightening at all, these people again and again read their pure Book, recited their Tasbih, offered prayers, their religion seems to be totally pure.
Inside a french seventy-four year old priest’s heart settled that Islam is the truth, when I die as a christian I go to Jahannam, when I die as a Muslim I’m successful. He searched through the whole France, but found all Muslims in imitation of Christians. That’s why he couldn’t understand, that if he would accept Islam then at the end in which environment of Islamic people he should stay, which really would be an Islamic environment. Finally a Jama’at came and he observed their twenty-four hour environment. After seeing their twenty-four hours atmosphere, he said this is the true Islam. Then he accepted Islam on the hands of this Jama’at. Then the comrades of the Jama’at told the priest, that a Muslim is supposed to be a caller [to Allah], it’s very important for him to call to Islam. You become a caller to Islam, too.

“Say: ‘This is my Way: I call on Allah with Basirat, I and whosoever followeth me.’” [12:108]

The priest became a caller to Islam and brought twelve French households into the folds of Islam.
In Medinah Tayyibah was a speech held in Masjid-e-Nabwi and when Tashkeel began an elder stood up from the gathering and said, “Where did you take this from?” We told him, “Please sit down again and don’t hinder the Tashkeel. We’ll explain to you just in a moment, but if it’s proven by Qur’an and Hadith then you’ll have to be written down, too.”

“Say: ‘This is my Way: I call on Allah with Basirat, I and whosoever followeth me.’” [12:108]

“This is what we do.” Shaikh Abdullah said, “Alright.” We said, “Okay, give some time.” After that he came to India as well, he even left a note for Hadhrat Shaykh, he went to Dubai and so on, too. So, this priest became a caller and brought 12 households, which all were French, into the folds of Islam. When this priest was told to become a caller he accepted this and from then on started the work of Dawat.
Letter: People give Salaam while passing by, just as when the work of the Jama’at was barber-surgeries.
Almost fifteen years ago someone saw in his dream, that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) emphasised to send a Jama’attowards Indonesia. On this base Hadhrat Maulana Muhammad Yusuf made us Tashkeel to that place. Half of Indonesia we’ll make Christians in fifty years and the other half we’ll make in fifty years, that was determined by the others. Yesterday when this was told the Jama’at from Indonesia, they started crying, “Insha’Allah, arriving there we will start effort.” Now, what will Muslims be made by Christians. The Christians themselves will become Muslims.
Relying on amount the first country is Indonesia, second Bangladesh, third India, fourth Pakistan.
An Arab from Jordan saw in a dream, that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) arrived in an Indian Kurta and with a bed on his shoulders. He asked Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) for his destination and he replied from where the Deen is coming alive. In Turkey there was a big scholar, when a Jama’at arrived he didn’t patronize them, but even prohibited the affiliates. Because he was given by some people a wrong introduction to the Jama’at. And for a righteous scholar it is necessary if something is wrong in his eyes, then not to support it. But the second or third day he arrived himself and served the Jama’at. One of the Jama’at or someone else asked [for the reason]and he replied, “I saw in a dream Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) sharing a cluster of grapes amongst the comrades of the Jama’at. I came close as well, but he granted me none. I stated, ‘Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) I am as well one of your Ummat.’ Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) replied, ‘Yes, but this cluster of grapes is for those making efforts for Deen – you become one of them, too.’ That opened my breast and that’s why I am here now.”
One Jama’at have been to Marrakesh and saw in a dream, that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, “Give my Salaam to your Jama’at.” And he found no chance, but on the second day when he was laying down for siesta again Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, “You still have not given my Salaam to your Jama’at.” He replied, “Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam), I’ll immediately leave everything and bring it to them now.” Then he gathered everyone and delivered the Salaamfrom Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) to them.
